Disability Justice
This initiative seeks to further the reorientation of knowledge that can come from considering [experiences of? cultures of?] disability, to understand the historical and institutional limitations on the accessibility of liberal arts education, and to experiment with radically accessible education.
Environmental Humanities
The Environmental Humanities Initiative cultivates work on campus that experiments with reshaping humanistic practices in relation to ecology.
Humanities and the Digital
This Initiative gathers work happening across campus in the digital humanities alongside other conversations about the role of data, computing, AI, and digitization.
Translation
The Translation Initiative supports creative and critical engagements with the theory and practice of translation across UR’s curriculum through intensive support for student and faculty work, and through events and programs that amplify the presence and importance of translation to liberal arts education and life in our global world more broadly.
